Stephanie Fields advises entrepreneurs and executives in a wide range of legal matters pertinent to every stage of the business life cycle, with particular emphasis on the needs of early-stage companies, including entity formation, venture financings, and governance.
Stephanie began her career as a paralegal at a local workers’ compensation firm in 2010 after graduating from UNC Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Political Science. In 2012, she became a legal assistant at Hutchison, pllc and was eventually promoted to corporate paralegal at the firm. Her desire to continue working with entrepreneurs and small businesses led her to apply for law school and she graduated from UNC School of Law in 2018.
While in law school, Stephanie gained valuable experience in the life sciences sector as an extern at Chiesi USA and IQVIA (formerly Quintiles) and continued to work within the entretrepreneurial ecosystem as an extern at Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network and Kickstart Venture Services at UNC. She also served as a summer fellow and grant reviewer at NC IDEA in 2017 and 2018. She is based out of Durham but works out of the Charlotte office as well.
