In her legal practice, attorney Kayla Churchill Shively focuses on commercial real estate matters. Prior to joining Forrest Firm, Kayla spent three years working at a boutique commercial real estate firm and gained deep experience within the industry.
Kayla represented institutional lenders as lender’s counsel on a myriad of loan closings, commercial landlords and tenants in complex lease negotiations, and business owners on the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate for business. She particularly enjoys lending counsel on multi-family projects with a passion for affordable housing cases.
Active in the community, Kayla serves as the co-chair for the CREW Student Outreach committee. Kayla earned her juris doctor degree from Appalachian School of Law and is licensed to practice law in the state of North Carolina.
Outside of the office, Kayla plays volleyball and loves to travel to the beach. She lives in Charlotte with her husband and golden doodle.
