Cory Howes focuses his practice in estate and business planning as well as estate administration, probate and trust administration. Cory is also the Trusts and Estates Practice Group Leader and manages the Firm’s Corporate Shield Service, which helps business owners and executives maintain corporate formalities for their business entities.
In his estate planning practice, Cory assists successful professionals and business owners plan for and protect their families and assets by helping them make informed decisions, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, estate tax planning, asset protection strategies, charitable planning, and special needs planning. Cory also assists clients with gun trusts and pet trusts.
Cory began his career as a financial advisor with MassMutual, providing financial services to executive and professional clients, including employee benefit consulting services to businesses. Upon completing law school in 2008, Cory worked with a boutique litigation firm. In 2013, he opened Howes Law, PLLC, focusing his practice on estate planning for families and professionals.
Cory’s unique process of working with clients allows him to provide personal attention, clear communication, timely assistance, and excellent results. He takes the time to get to know his clients and their families to ensure he fully understands each client’s goals, values, questions, and concerns. He then explains, in plain English, the available planning options and his recommendations based on the client’s individual circumstances. Cory’s background in finance as well as litigation provide a wholistic approach to estate planning that provides peace of mind to his clients.
