Beth Stanfield is a skilled litigator who has dedicated her career to serving healthcare providers, employers, corporations, and individuals – both in and out of the courtroom. Beth’s expertise is grounded in handling healthcare and business disputes throughout the state, including matters arising from employment actions, corporate/shareholder disputes, contract disputes, debtor-creditor actions, commercial litigation, professional and medical malpractice actions, products liability, and appeals.
While Beth has spent thousands of hours in the courtroom, she is passionate about achieving her clients’ desire to avoid litigation, minimize risk, and foster healthy workplaces. Her work outside of the courtroom includes providing counsel in areas of healthcare regulatory compliance, employment law, risk management, and contract drafting/negotiations. Whether handling a sensitive HIPAA breach issue or a high-stakes business suit in court, Beth approaches all matters with efficiency, tenacity, and integrity.
Beth began her legal career in 2005 as a federal judicial clerk to the Honorable Henry Coke Morgan, Jr., Senior United States District Court Judge for the Eastern District of Virginia. Following her clerkship, Beth relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina where she began practicing as a civil litigator. Before joining Forrest Firm, Beth was a partner at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick LLP in Charlotte, where she focused her practice on healthcare law (regulatory and malpractice).
