Attorney Adam Goldblatt joined the Forrest Firm’s Raleigh office in April of 2018. For more than 20 years, Mr. Goldblatt has provided in-house, general counsel services to companies throughout the United States and internationally, with representative matters spanning a wide range of areas within business and corporate law.
Adam’s work includes particular emphasis on business formation, financing transactions (including debt, equity, angel, and venture), mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property protection and licensing, privacy, corporate governance, employment law, national security reviews and process conducted by Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), and commercial real estate.
Having established his career in Seattle, Mr. Goldblatt has developed deep practice experience in industries such as software, healthcare, consumer goods, clothing, online gaming, media, entertainment, and food & beverage. Adam has had previous roles at Pacific Edge Software (2001-2005), Phantom Entertainment (2005-2006), and Talyst (2014-2017).
Companies that Mr. Goldblatt has worked for with successful exits in his last year of practice before joining the Forrest Firm include Kitt.Ai, an artificial intelligence company focused on developing a conversational language engine, from incorporation through its sale to Baidu; VitalHealth Software, a developer of tools for outcome measurement, patient engagement, care coordination and analytics, as US counsel through its sale to Royal Philips; Talyst, provider of pharmacy automation solutions for hospitals and long-term care facilities, in its sale to Swisslog; and Bonobos, one of the leading apparel brands built on the internet – now owned by Walmart, as its first attorney serving from incorporation through its Series B financing.
Mr. Goldblatt earned a bachelor of arts degree in justice in 1989 from American University in Washington, DC. In 1994, Adam received a juris doctor degree from the City University of New York School of Law in New York, and in 2009, he earned a master of business administration degree from the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Adam Goldblatt is licensed to practice law in the state of Washington (not currently licensed in North Carolina), where he is a member of the Washington Bar Association. His application for admission by comity is on file with the North Carolina Board of Law Examiners.
