The Forrest Firm’s Martha Bradley will moderate a panel on the process of becoming a certified B Corporation next week at Asheville’s MountainBizWorks.
The B Corp panel will feature representatives from different corners of Asheville’s entrepreneurial ecosystem who are committed to triple bottom line (profits, people, and planet) for their respective businesses and those they advise. Panelists include Jael Rattigan of French Broad Chocolates, Michael Whelchel of impact investment firm Big Path Capital, and Adrianne Gordon of JB Media.
The panel discussion will take place on February 12 from 5:30-6:30 pm at the MountainBizWorks office on Lexington Avenue in Asheville.
Certified B Corporations are companies who are committed to operating for the benefit of the communities where they work, committing traditional measures of business growth complemented by commitments to corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability.
MountainBizWorks is a non-profit focused on building a vibrant and inclusive entrepreneurial community across western North Carolina by helping businesses start, grow, and create jobs through loans, coaching, and educational opportunities.
