Christina McComas joined the Forrest Firm in January of 2018, taking the role of Office Manager at the firm’s downtown Raleigh location.
In her role at the firm, Christina provides operational support to the firm’s attorneys, setting new standards for professionalism and responsiveness for the benefit of our clients and creating a more sustainable working environment for our attorneys.
Christina began her legal career in 2001 as a corporate and real estate legal assistant at the Raleigh law firm of Smith Moore LLP. In 2004, she joined the Raleigh firm of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, where she spent 14 years working in the same role to support corporate transactional work and matters pertaining to commercial real estate.
In her duties as a certified paralegal and assistant to the corporate attorneys of the Raleigh office, Christina handles many of the duties for commercial real estate closings, including document preparation, wiring and trust account disbursements, and coordinating title updates and searches. She routinely files corporation documents and amendments with both the North Carolina Office of the Secretary of State and Register of Deeds offices at county level, as well as drafting and filing of Uniform Commercial code financing statements.
Christina also works closely with clients in real estate development with regard to commercial development leases.
Christina McComas is a 1989 graduate of Marshall University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration. In 1992, she completed the paralegal certification program St. Mary’s College of Raleigh.
Christina enjoys volunteering for the Raleigh Dream Center and the Miracle League of the Triangle.
