WOLFE SPEAKS AT CLE, MENTORS SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS AT FORSYTH TECH

Forrest Firm attorney Jeff Wolfe, who opened the firm’s Winston-Salem/Triad office in May of 2016, is participating in educational activities for legal professionals and small business owners this month in the Triad and Triangle areas of North Carolina.
Next week, Wolfe will serve as one of the instructors for the National Business Institute (NBI) seminar, Buying and Selling a Business: Start to Finish, a continuing legal education course for attorneys and other legal professionals and continuing professional education course for certified public accountants. The two-day seminar will take place December 12-13 at the Holiday Inn Raleigh-North Midtown.
For the NBI seminar, Wolfe will lead a M&A contract workshop and the course section, Legal Due Diligence: Insight from a Business Contract Attorney. Wolfe will address due diligence for mergers and acquisitions from multiple perspectives, including assignment and change and control provisions, commercial contracts, intellectual property, corporate records, financing documents, and litigation.

Also in December, Wolfe will begin an ongoing engagement as a small business mentor at Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem. Wolfe will volunteer at Forsyth Tech’s Small Business Center, offering consultation services to small business owners. He will assist those looking to start businesses or help with business planning, growth strategies, and other issues related to running a business or a non-profit.
