LASHER TO SPEAK AT ISSUES & ANSWERS PROGRAM AT WAKE FOREST AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
February 15, 2017
On Tuesday, February 28, Forrest Firm attorney Leslie Lasher will speak at the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce’s Issues & Answers series. This is the first session of the quarterly breakfast series, which will take place at the Wake Electric Community Room in Wake Forest.
The inaugural Issues & Answers series features a panel who will discuss how the changing landscape of law, finance, taxes, and insurance affects business today. Lasher will give an overview of hot legal issues to watch in 2017, at both the federal and state levels. Federal topics include the DOL’s overtime rule and the potential repeal of the ACA. On a state level, Lasher will discuss HB2 and other workplace legal issues related to sexual orientation and transgender status.
Other speakers at the program will discuss new NC tax laws, insurance against cyber liability, and what’s happening in capital markets this quarter. Panelists will share updates from their respective fields and take questions from participants both in the large group setting and individually following their presentations.
