GREENROOM COMMUNICATIONS JOINS FORCES WITH FORREST FIRM CLIENT WALK WEST
January 6, 2017
Specializing in video production, professional development, social media marketing, and SEO services, Greenroom brings a diverse range of new talent and client offerings to Walk West. Sharon Delaney McCloud, former WNCN-TV anchor and managing partner of Greenroom, joins as partner at Walk West. Viral video personalities and Greenroom managing partners Penn and Kim Holderness also join the team as advisors, along with seven additional Greenroom employees.
The Greenroom merger further showcases Walk West’s explosive growth over the past two years, skyrocketing from three employees to now more than 30. Greenroom staff will join the Walk West team at its new office on N.C. State University’s Centennial Campus and merge as one agency under the Walk West name.
Walk West focuses on a highly effective “digital first” approach. This approach includes discovery research, web design and development, social media marketing, SEO, SEM, content marketing, and strategy services, as well as digital issue advocacy and lobbying. By merging with Greenroom, the united forces enhance the agency’s capabilities with Emmy Award-winning video production built on a collective 75 years in broadcasting experience. The team can create a narrative about any product or service that includes stunning video, images and graphics in a high-quality digital production.
Additionally, new professional development services include media training, presentation coaching, on-camera training and workplace communication. Greenroom clients have included H&R Block, Fox Home Entertainment, Target and UNC Hospitals, while Walk West has partnered with North Hills, Brooks Bell, Linville Land Harbor, Eschelon Experiences, and N.C. State University.
Walk West is a privately-owned company, founded in 2007 as O3 by CEO Brian Onorio.
The Forrest Firm advised Walk West on the transaction, with attorneys David Morris, Jeff Wolfe, and James Forrest serving as legal and strategic advisers to Onorio and his leadership team, including growth strategist Donald Thompson.
“Joining forces with Greenroom has been my largest transaction to date as CEO,” said Onorio. “Working with the Forrest Firm empowered me to see all aspects of the transaction from both legal and strategic perspectives, allowing us to proceed both enthusiastically with our integration.”
“The Forrest Firm’s work with us was critical to a successful merger with Greenroom,” said Thompson. “Having David, Jeff, and James manage all of the legal considerations associated with the transaction enabled our leadership team to focus on core synergies for growth between the two combining companies.”
“This transaction demonstrates the Forrest Firm’s commitment to providing sophisticated legal advice to entrepreneurs like Brian Onorio and Donald Thompson,” said Morris. “We thrive on providing a high level of strategic counsel—normally enjoyed by much larger corporations working with mega-firms—in the service of ambitious, growth-oriented companies.”
