James R. Forrest, founder and principal at the Forrest Firm, PC, has earned repeat recognition in Business North Carolina magazine’s Legal Elite.

For the third consecutive year, Business North Carolina magazine has named Forrest to its “Legal Elite” list of the top lawyers in North Carolina. For its annual ranking of the best practicing lawyers in the state, Business North Carolina conducted a peer nomination survey with more than 20,000 attorneys. From the survey results, the magazine’s editors selected approximately three percent of the Tar Heel state’s attorneys for inclusion in the rankings.

According to Business North Carolina magazine, the “Legal Elite” represents “the lawyers their peers think are the best practitioners in their respective fields.”  The magazine places a premium on listing the best attorneys—not the best-known or most influential—as a measurement of their legal expertise and proficiency in the law.

The 2014 Legal Elite list features in the January edition of Business North Carolina.

Founded in January 2011, the Forrest Firm serves businesses in the Triangle area, as well as clients based in Charlotte, Wilmington, and other regions of North Carolina. Core practice areas include company formation, employment law, mergers & acquisitions, commercial real estate, and contracts.

“I’m honored by this recognition from my peers in the North Carolina legal community,” stated Forrest.  “It’s really a tribute to how we are building our firm, focusing on the core areas of business law and bringing in more highly-specialized colleagues as client needs dictate. The result for the legal community is a framework where attorneys can collaborate to bring the right solutions to entrepreneurs and executives with flexibility, accessibility, and affordability as our service drivers.”
