The Forrest Firm is pleased to announce that attorney Jeff Wolfe has earned the “rising star” distinction in an annual ranking of North Carolina attorneys by Super Lawyers magazine.

The magazine’s four-part selection process yields an annual listing of “Super Lawyers” and “Rising Stars,” which is comprised of attorneys either under the age of 40 or with less than 10 years in practice. The selection process consists of peer nominations from fellow North Carolina attorneys, independent research by an attorney-led team, peer evaluation by practice area, and finally a selection geared by firm sizes to allow for representation across the legal community in its entirety.

Wolfe, a 2008 graduate of the Wake Forest University School of Law, is celebrating two years with the Forrest Firm. His areas of practice at the firm include corporate formation and governance, commercial contracts, and strategic transactions. His transactional background includes deep experience in mergers and acquisitions, equity offerings, and debt financings, and Mr. Wolfe has advised companies at every size and stage of the business life cycle, from small start-ups to large public companies.

Wolfe began his career at the Raleigh law firm of Smith, Anderson, Blount, Dorsett, Mitchell & Jernigan, where he served the firm’s corporate clients for six years. In addition to his duties at the Forrest Firm, Wolfe serves on the board of directors of Durham non-profit JusticeMatters. The organization provides trauma-informed immigration and family law services that protect children and help survivors of human trafficking and other traumas rebuild their lives.

“It’s an incredible honor to be named a rising star in the North Carolina legal community by my peers,” said Wolfe. “My main professional goal is to provide excellent legal services to our firm’s clients and foster long-term relationships in the business community, but I’m grateful that such service is noticed and appreciated by other lawyers in North Carolina’s legal community.”

“We are very proud of Jeff,” stated James Forrest, founder and principal attorney at the Forrest Firm. “This rising star accolade is only the beginning for him. He has that rare combination of great work ethic, a sophisticated legal mind, and the highest level of integrity. I have no doubt that he will continue to grow and excel in the work that we do for clients.”
