Forrest Firm’s Blunk to Speak at Boutique Brand Retreat

Rachel Blunk, business attorney at the Forrest Firm’s Greensboro office, will be a guest speaker at the Boutique Brand Retreat for Triad-area women entrepreneurs.

The Boutique Brand Retreat, hosted by Marissa Monroe Studio and Digital Wray, returns to Greensboro’s Proximity Hotel on October 6-7. The conference features empowering, diverse, and inclusive sessions, workshops, and panel discussions, with content aimed at helping creative women entrepreneurs with brand-building efforts in their businesses. The weekend retreat aims to convene women who are doctors, artists, photographers, musicians, video producers, designers, moms, entrepreneurs, dreamers, and women who have passion and ambition.

In addition to learning about brand-building, attendees will have the opportunity to meet women from different backgrounds to cultivate ideas, execute goals, and encourage more conversation around self-care and community. Attendees will range from those entering entrepreneurship to fully operating female business owners.

The Forrest Firm’s Blunk will speak at the Boutique Brand Retreat’s 11am session on Saturday, October 6. Her topic, “Make Your Formation Flawless: Entity Selection and IP Protection,” will center on helping creative women entrepreneurs with the intersection of business and the law, specifically assisting in areas of corporate formation and protecting their brands, products and art through trademarks, copyrights, and patents.

Ms. Blunk joined the Forrest Firm in February of 2018, bringing her hybrid litigation/transactional business law practice to the Greensboro office. In her litigation practice, Ms. Blunk handles business disputes regarding matters such as breach of contract, intellectual property infringement, and enforcing and defending non-competes. In her transactional practice, she focuses on the protection and licensing of intellectual property, government contracting, operations, business formation, and employment issues, including independent contractor and employment documents.

In addition to her work at the firm, Ms. Blunk promotes the legal profession as the current Chair of the Young Lawyers Division of the North Carolina Bar Association. She enjoys spending time promoting entrepreneurship, particularly within communities driven by women and people of color.
