Forrest Firm Sponsors Asheville’s [Food + Beverage] Collider Conference

The Forrest Firm is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the first [Food + Beverage] Collider, a conference on climate resilience in the food and beverage industry, hosted by the Collider, a hub for climate entrepreneurship.

The one-day [Food + Beverage] Collider event will take place from 8:30am to 6:30pm on Tuesday, October 23, at the Collider, home to the Forrest Firm’s Asheville office and attorney Martha Bradley. The event will feature presentations from global and regional food and beverage industry leaders who are pioneering strategies and methods to adapt their agricultural operations and supply chains to build resilient operations and increase market competitiveness.

Founders & CEOs; supply chain and agricultural sourcing managers; financial risk, strategy, and sustainability managers; economic development leaders; and adaptation professionals are invited to attend. Registration is required, and the cost for each attendee is $149.

Speakers include executives and leaders representing the Climate Service, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Aon, the World Wildlife Fund, the inter-American Development Bank, Duke University, and Acclimatise. Food and beverage industry representatives include speakers from Mars, New Belgium Brewing, Counter Culture Coffee, the Specialty Coffee Association.

[Food + Beverage] Collider will also feature a hackathon to tackle current climate challenges related to the food and beverage industry, as well as time for climate entrepreneurs to pitch their businesses to the attendees. Collider CEO Josh Dorfman will add opening and closing remarks.

The Collider is a nonprofit innovation center for climate companies creating data-driven solutions that enable humanity to adapt and thrive in a changing climate. The organization trains climate entrepreneurs who are building startups that use weather and climate data. The Collider fosters breakthrough climate products and services and accelerate their market adoption, while cultivating and inspiring the next generation of scientific, technological, and entrepreneurial talent.

The day’s events will conclude with a trip to Asheville’s Center for Craft, Creativity, and Design for an evening reception.
