The new store opens to the public on Wednesday, October 14 in front of the Lake Boone Shopping Center in west Raleigh, on the site of a former Wendy’s. The Lake Boone location, Langston’s second Chick-fil-A after his former Triangle Town Center store, will employ 80 people in an environment that features the chain’s latest in kitchen and interior designs.

Langston, who has worked at Chick-fil-A since his teenage years, achieved fame a as part of one of the feel-good stories of the year this past winter. The story of Yasir Moore went viral when a group of Target employees helped the area teen select a tie for his Chick-fil-A interview, as well as offer the youngster tips that eventually served him well for multiple rounds with store managers and Langston himself. According to an ABC11 news story at the time, Target employee Dennis Roberts even went out of his way to help Moore have his necktie tied properly for each round of interviews, ensuring that he met his mother’s wish to look appropriate for the job.

Langston and Moore soon found themselves on Good Morning America and a host of local, regional, and national media outlets, with the GMA appearance even documenting the official Chick-fil-A job offer from Langston to Moore. When describing Moore for a story for Inside Chick-fil-A, Langston checked off the three key attributes of the company’s employees: “We look for people who have a desire to grow, an engaging personality and a naturally enthusiastic spirit.”

That recipe has certainly done David Langston and his management team at the Triangle Town Center store well, and we know that his next venture at the Lake Boone Shopping Center will write the next chapter in his success story. As with all new store openings for the restaurant chain, the Lake Boone location’s first 100 visitors can qualify for a free year’s supply of meals (coupons for 52 Chick-fil-A sandwich meals).
