FORREST FIRM ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNCOMPANY
September 7, 2016
Celebrating its fifth anniversary in 2016, the Forrest Firm is a provider of corporate legal services to entrepreneurs, investors, and executives. The firm works in multiple areas relevant to businesses at every stage of their life cycles. Core practice areas include business formation, angel and venture financings, intellectual property, commercial real estate, employment, mergers and acquisitions, estate planning, tax, contract negotiation, and dispute resolution.
The Uncompany is a community for writers, designers, and other creative professionals. Founded by Maari Casey, an art director and creative director formerly with Durham’s McKinney and apparel brand Peter Millar, the Uncompany offers an online portal and events aimed at linking freelancers seeking work with companies looking to hire contract creative labor.
Forrest Firm attorneys will attend Uncompany events and give periodic presentations on legal topics of interest to freelancers and startup entrepreneurs. Uncompany freelancers will also be featured on the Forrest Firm’s blog and social media channels.
“We are thrilled to launch our partnership with the Uncompany,” stated Forrest Firm attorney Aaron Gard. “This group is on the leading edge of helping freelance professionals develop their skills into growing businesses, and that’s where we want to be as a firm. We believe that the Triangle is a haven for creatives in writing design, and web development, and our attorneys are here to help these great people mitigate a variety of challenges on their journey of entrepreneurship.”
