The Forrest Firm is a provider of legal services to businesses, non-profits, entrepreneurs, and individuals. Core practice areas include corporate transactions, financings and capital raises, commercial real estate, intellectual property, employment law, banking and financial services, mergers and acquisitions, estate planning and administration, and litigation.
In her practice at the Forrest Firm, Beth represents clients in healthcare and business disputes throughout the state, including matters arising from employment actions, corporate/shareholder disputes, contract disputes, debtor-creditor actions, commercial litigation, professional and medical malpractice actions, products liability, and appeals. Beth began her legal career in 2005 as a federal judicial clerk to the Honorable Henry Coke Morgan, Jr., Senior United States District Court Judge for the Eastern District of Virginia. Following her clerkship, Beth relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina where she began practicing as a civil litigator. Before joining Forrest Firm, Beth was a partner at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick LLP in Charlotte, where she focused her practice on healthcare law (regulatory and malpractice).
Beth Stanfield received a Bachelor of Science degree from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri and earned a Juris Doctorate at Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Beth is licensed to practice law in the states of North Carolina and Virginia and is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys.
“Beth Stanfield is a knowledgeable attorney and a skilled litigator, and she brings a unique set of skills to the Forrest Firm,” said Andy Jones, Managing Attorney for the Forrest Firm’s Wilmington office. “Her experience in the healthcare sector will allow us to better serve our healthcare provider clients at clinical and institutional levels, and she will provide strong advice and counsel with regard to employment matters and compliance at state and federal level.
