Attorney Andrew Bowman Joins Forrest Firm

Now in its seventh year, the Forrest Firm is a provider of corporate legal services to entrepreneurs, investors, and executives. Mr. Bowman joins the Forrest Firm’s Greensboro office after practicing for 10 years in the public sector, private practice, and as seconded in-house counsel, representing a host of corporate clients in a variety of industry sectors.
In his new role at the Forrest Firm, Mr. Bowman provides strategic counsel and representation for entrepreneurs and executives in matters related to commercial and civil litigation. He also advises company executives on compliance, risk management, and reputational risk.
Mr. Bowman began his legal career in 2007 as an assistant district attorney in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, prosecuting criminal offenses in District, Superior and Juvenile courts. In 2008, he joined the Charlotte firm of Campbell & Associates, focusing his practice on personal injury and Social Security disability litigation. In 2009, he moved his practice to the Charlotte firm of York, Williams, & Lewis LLP, where he focused on civil litigation, providing defense representation to multiple companies involved in personal injury, premises liability, construction, trucking, product liability and industrial accident lawsuits.
From 2011-2013, Mr. Bowman practiced at the Charlotte office of McAngus Goudelock & Courie as a trial attorney. His practice areas included defense of personal injury, premises liability, breach of contract, bad faith, construction, trucking, product liability and industrial accident lawsuits, as well as insurance coverage opinions and appellate practice.
From 2014-2017, Mr. Bowman practiced at the Charlotte office of McGuireWoods, LLP in the firm’s financial services litigation department. During his tenure at McGuireWoods, Mr. Bowman also served as seconded in-house counsel for Wells Fargo Bank. He managed and oversaw outside counsel’s representation of Wells Fargo and its affiliates in foreclosure and mortgage-related litigation in North Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia, Mississippi, and Alabama. In addition, Mr. Bowman advised Wells Fargo’s business units and executive officers on litigation, compliance, risk management, and reputational risk matters.
Andrew Bowman graduated from Davidson College in 2001 with a bachelor of arts degree in history. He earned a juris doctor degree in 2005 from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia.
Mr. Bowman is licensed to practice law in all North Carolina courts, in the Federal District Courts for the Western, Middle, and Eastern Districts of North Carolina, and in the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association.
