Mr. Lindsey has spent over twenty years advising companies on corporate legal matters in diverse areas such as international trade, contracts, employment law, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, private securities offerings, immigration law, and commercial real estate transactions.
After beginning his career working at the United States International Trade Commission, Mr. Lindsey entered private practice in the District of Columbia and North Carolina, including stints at several Washington-area firms. Mr. Lindsey began his corporate law practice in North Carolina at the Durham firm of Daniels Daniels & Verdonik. Since 2005, Mr. Lindsey has served as corporate counsel to a pair of telecommunications firms, advising the senior management team on a variety of corporate strategic and risk management areas of national scope.
In his of-counsel role at the Forrest Firm, John Lindsey works with companies on matters related to corporate transactions, trademark and copyright protection, and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Lindsey received his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Georgetown University Law Center, as well as a PhD in economics from UNC Chapel Hill.
