Lead attorney James R. Forrest began his career in Atlanta, Georgia working for one of the largest corporate law firms in the world. From 2005 to 2010, Mr. Forrest practiced with Moore & Van Allen, PLLC, one of the premier law firms in the Southeast.
James routinely works with companies to manage legal budgets, develop executive-level risk-management strategies, and form and manage key partnership relationships with other attorneys and professionals specializing in intellectual property, litigation, bankruptcy, estate planning, family law matters, accounting, banking, and insurance matters.
Mr. Forrest has extensive experience with company formation issues, mergers, acquisitions, company divestitures, transactional due diligence and the drafting, review and negotiation of contracts across industry and subject matter, including operating agreements, shareholders’ agreements, employment agreements, customer contracts, procurement agreements, consulting agreements, loan agreements, confidentiality agreements and strategic arrangements.
In addition to his corporate practice, James also practices in the area of commercial real estate, assisting companies with property sales and acquisitions and various leasing matters.
James Forrest received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has been admitted to the North Carolina State Bar.
