Board certified as a Specialist in Trademark Law, with experience as both a Trademark Examining Attorney at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and a Copyright Examiner at the U.S. Copyright Office, Ed Timberlake joined the Forrest Firm in 2016.
Mr. Timberlake works on all aspects of trademark and copyright consultation, prosecution, and maintenance (both in the U.S. and internationally), but particularly enjoys helping people avoid trademark troubles before they start.
Timberlake taught Trademark Law (as an adjunct professor) at Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.
Licensed to practice law in the state of North Carolina, Mr. Timberlake serves on the Trademark Law Specialty Committee of the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. He is also the co-chair of the CLE Committee of the Council of the North Carolina Bar Association Intellectual Property Section, and a member of the Non-Traditional Marks Committee of the International Trademark Association.
