Benjamin Hicks joined the Forrest Firm in the spring of 2017, opening the firm’s office in Charlotte. In his role at the firm, Mr. Hicks advises entrepreneurs and corporate executives in multiple areas of business law, including entity formation and corporate governance, as well as mergers and acquisitions and fundraising.
Since 2012, Mr. Hicks has practiced as an associate attorney in the Corporate group in the Charlotte office of Moore & Van Allen, PLLC. At Moore & Van Allen PLLC, Mr. Hicks worked with Charlotte-area companies, focusing his practice on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, and corporate governance issues.
In 2010, Mr. Hicks began his legal career as an associate attorney at the New York office of the law firm Dechert, LLP.
Mr. Hicks earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Western Carolina University. He graduated with a juris doctor degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law in Chapel Hill, where he was a member of the North Carolina Law Review.
Benjamin Hicks is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association.
