Attorney Adam Wanee joined the Forrest Firm in the summer of 2017 after practicing as a business attorney in the Raleigh-Durham area for six years, focusing his work in general corporate representation, angel and venture capital financing, and mergers and acquisitions.
In his new role at the Forrest Firm, Mr. Wanee will counsel executives and entrepreneurs through entity formation and corporate governance, contract matters, angel and venture capital fundraising, debt financings, and strategic transactions. His current work spans multiple industry sectors, and Mr. Wanee advises companies at virtually every stage of the business life cycle, from early-stage startups to emerging growth and established companies.
Mr. Wanee began his legal career in 2011 as an associate attorney with the Raleigh-based law firm Hutchison PLLC. During the last six years, Adam has represented some of North Carolina’s premier life sciences and information technology companies, advising entrepreneurs and executives through corporate formation, debt and equity financings, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions, as well as regular corporate governance matters, and the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts.
Adam Wanee earned his law degree in 2011 from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was awarded the Hardy Cross Dillard Scholarship and served as a senior editor of the Virginia Tax Review. He is a 2008 summa cum laude graduate of Wheaton College (IL) with a bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics.
Mr. Wanee is a member of the Wake County Bar and the North Carolina State Bar.
