Attorney Aaron Gard joined the Forrest Firm in the spring of 2016. In his of-counsel role at the firm, Mr. Gard advises clients on corporate formation and governance, commercial contracts, and strategic transactions.
Mr. Gard began his legal career in Jones Day’s Houston, TX office, serving the firm’s corporate clients in multiple industry sectors, including the oil and gas industry. Since returning to the Triangle in 2007, Mr. Gard has served a diverse array of corporate clients at every stage of the business life cycle for area firms Wyrick Robbins Yates & Ponton LLP of Raleigh and Life Sciences Law, PLLC of Chapel Hill. His transactional background includes deep experience in mergers and acquisitions and leading complex contractual matters in healthcare and life sciences. During Mr. Gard’s nearly 15 years of legal experience, he also served as in-house counsel for the global investment bank Credit Suisse in their Center of Excellence in Raleigh, NC.
In addition to his role at the Forrest Firm, Mr. Gard serves as a founder and general counsel for Durham-based multimedia company GreatestFan and also works in fundraising as a regional development officer for the University of North Carolina School of Law in Chapel Hill.
Aaron Gard received his law degree from the Washington College of Law at American University in 2002. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1997 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a four-year letterman on the varsity soccer team. He is a member of the North Carolina and Texas Bars and the Durham County Bar Association.
