It’s an exciting time to be a part of the Forrest Firm. When we launched a little over four years ago, I had a vision for a new type of law firm, one centered on clients. We based this new model on principles like accessibility, responsiveness, and flexibility in billing.
Like all entrepreneurs, I had no real idea whether anyone beyond my initial set of clients would honor these ideas with their business, much less the referrals of their friends and colleagues. As we’ve grown in client market share and by attorney head-count, we also need have a need for someone to manage all of the logistics that comes along with running a law firm.
The Forrest Firm is proud to announce the hiring of Kristi Michels as our Operations Manager. Hiring Kristi, for me, is a milestone for the firm, as it will mark the achievement of a new level of client service for us. She brings a wealth of administrative and project management experience to the Forrest Firm, experience that I’ve witnessed first-hand as she has provided support to the leadership team at Durham’s Summit Church for the last several years.
Kristi has managed more than 10 direct reports, pulled off events for hundreds of attendees, and managed behind the scenes efforts for fundraising campaigns that tallied in the tens of millions of dollars. She handles herself with the utmost discretion, class, and consideration, no matter the person or entity she’s dealing with—which are exactly the qualities we were looking for to support our wide array of clients.
