The Forrest Firm’s Sean Wagner heads to Charlotte entrepreneurial hub Packard Place on May 17 to speak on the topic of data privacy.
The lunch-and-learn event, “Data Privacy Basics for Entrepreneurs,” is part of Packard Place’s Third Thursday Legal Lunch series, where entrepreneurs gather to hear business attorneys speak on a variety of legal topics and risk situations facing startups. In his presentation, Mr. Wagner will give practical guidance on frequently overlooked data security issues with technology startups. He will discuss best practices that will help attendees spot and address these data security issues in their own companies.
Sean Wagner joined the Forrest Firm’s Charlotte office in February 2018. In his role at the firm, Mr. Wagner represents clients in a wide variety of commercial litigation, government investigations, and regulatory compliance matters. He also provides strategic, proactive counsel focused on helping companies navigate compliance and litigation risks associated with information security, digital services and products, cybersecurity, e-commerce, and data privacy. He earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Oklahoma.
The data privacy event will run from 12-1 p.m. on May 17 at Packard Place, located at 222 South Church Street in Uptown Charlotte. After Mr. Wagner’s presentation, there will be a Q&A session, discussion, and networking time. Admission is free and all are welcome.
