Held annually at the Raleigh Convention Center, the Tech Venture Conference brings together technology entrepreneurs, venture capital firms, and angel investors for education, networking, and pitching by featured companies. In addition, the 2017 edition will feature “reverse pitching,” where investors make their cases as the best financing destinations for entrepreneurs.
This year’s CED Tech Venture Conference will take place September 19-20. The Forrest Firm is proud to serve as charging station sponsor for this key event to drive North Carolina’s technology ecosystem forward. Attorneys Jeff Wolfe, Ben Hicks, David Morris, and Adam Wanee will be in attendance meeting with startups and venture teams.
Founded in 1984, CED (short for Council for Entrepreneurial Development) is a nationally connected network that helps local entrepreneurs build and grow successful companies. In addition to venture events for a host of industry sectors, the organization provides education, mentoring, and capital formation resources to technology-based, high-growth entrepreneurs. The CED is the largest organization of its kind in the country, and the attorneys of the Forrest Firm have seen the network provide massive economic value to the region and state.
“Since I began practicing as a business attorney nearly a decade ago, I have found the CED to be an essential resource for clients both in the Triangle and across the state, as they look to connect with investors who can take their companies to next-level growth,” said Wolfe, managing attorney at the Forrest Firm.
“We see CED as a valuable bridge between promising companies and the investors who can help them achieve their goals, and the Tech Venture Conference is one of our favorite events,” said Wanee, who joined the firm earlier this month after several years of practice focused on representing early-stage technology and life sciences companies. “Attendees can quickly see that one of the main reasons that North Carolina continues to be a leader in the digital economy is its extensive and cohesive network of entrepreneurs, investors, and support resources from the legal and financial communities.”
