The Forrest Firm is proud to announce its sponsorship of North Carolina State University’s Lulu eGames, the university’s largest startup competition.
Taking place during the school’s 2018 spring semester, the Lulu eGames includes two rounds of competition in six categories, offering more than $100,000 in prizes for NC State entrepreneurs. Student entrepreneurs compete in these six areas:
- New Venture
- Design and Prototype
- Social and Environmental Impact
- Arts Venture
- Built on Cloud
- Daugherty Endowment (NC State-licensed technology)
The university has underwritten the eGames program through a generous gift from the event’s title sponsor, online publishing company Lulu.com.
The 2017 competition attracted nearly 200 entries from across 10 of NC State’s academic colleges. In round one of the eGames, which takes place between February 19-March 1, judges review two-page executive summaries and watch 60-second video pitches from each of the startup entries. A group of entrants will move to a second round, the Finalist Pitch Round, where they will submit business plans of up to 10 pages and pitch their business concepts live on campus to the judges on Friday, March 23.
On Thursday, April 5, the competition will conclude with the Lulu eGames Award Ceremony at the Talley Student Center’s Stewart Theatre. The ceremony begins at 5:30 pm, followed by a networking reception at 6:30.
