Attorney Quintin Byrd has practiced as a business attorney since 2015, focusing his practice on dispute resolution, litigation, employment law, regulatory compliance, and licensure for various professionals.
In his new role at the Forrest Firm, Mr. Byrd will join the firm’s litigation practice, representing clients at all stages of civil and administrative litigation, from pre-filing negotiations to appeals. Mr. Byrd also advises professionals subject to regulatory oversight, such as physicians, dentists, nurses, and professional engineers, while also representing them before applicable boards and commissions.
Mr. Byrd began his legal career in 2012 as a law clerk to the Honorable Samuel J. Ervin, IV at the North Carolina Court of Appeals before serving as Assistant District Attorney for North Carolina’s Seventh Prosecutorial District based in Wilson.
In 2015, Mr. Byrd joined the Fayetteville firm, The Charleston Group. While at The Charleston Group, Mr. Byrd represented clients on the federal and state trial and appellate level, as well as before the Office of Administrative Hearings. He also played a role in the firm’s professional licensure practice, representing boards and commissions having regulatory oversight, as well as serving public bodies as general counsel.
Quintin Byrd is a 2012 summa cum laude graduate of the North Carolina Central University School of Law, where he served on the NC Central Law Review and as president of the school’s chapter of the Christian Legal Society. Mr. Byrd graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008, with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies.
Mr. Byrd is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, where he has been nominated to serve on the council of the Appellate Practice Section, and served formally on the Executive Board of the Capital City Lawyers Association.
